7. People clean their homes and get them painted few days prior to Diwali.

8. Houses, shops and all other buildings are decorated with colourful lights and earthen lamps (diyas) at night.

9. Rangoli (made with coloured powder, flour and sand) decoration is a common sight on Diwali.

10. People wear new dresses on this festival.

11. People worship Goddess Lakshmi for the betterment of their future.

12. They exchange gifts and sweets with their friends and relatives.

13. On this day, people also enjoy the firework at night.

14. This festival gives a message of love and brotherhood.

15. Diwali is the favourite festival of everyone especially kids and children.
