RANI LAKSHMI BAI
1. Rani Lakshmi Bai was a great freedom fighter.
2. She was one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
3. She was born on 19th November , 1828 in Varanasi to Brahmin parents.
4. Her father was Moropant Tambe and her mother was Bhagirathi Sapre.
5. Her childhood name was Manikarnika, famously known as Manu Bai.
6. As a child, she received her training as a soldier and learnt horse riding and wrestling.
7. She got married to Gangadhar Rao, the King of Jhansi, at a very young age.
8. After her marriage she was named Rani Lakshmi Bai.
9. Unfortunately, her husband died after two years of her marriage.
10. After her husband's death, she started ruling over the Jhansi.
11. She fought the First War of Independence against the British in the year 1857.
12. Rani Lakshmi Bai proved her courage and valor and fought bravely.
13. She gave a tough fight to the British, but she could not withstand the British army for long .
14. Rani Lakshmi Bai died at the young age of 23 on 18th June, 1858.
15. Her determination and courage is an inspiration for a lot of people.
