7. There are thirty students in my class.

8. A comfortable desk and bench is provided to each student to sit on.

9. A big table and a chair is also there for our teacher .

10. There is a big white board and also a smart board at the front .

11. Smart board in our class help us to study in an interesting way.

12. Our birthday chart and the time table chart hung on the front wall.

13. The big softboard on the back wall is always beautifully decorated with informative charts and inspirational quotes.

14. Pigeon hole rack in our class help us to store our study material.

15. There is also a big almirah for the teachers .

16. We always keep our classroom neat and clean.

17. Our teachers praise us for that.

18. This year we won first prize for cleanliness.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ 

ਭੂਮਿਕਾ : ਬਿਸਰਿ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਤਾਤਿ ਪਰਾਈ ।
            ਜਬ ਤੇ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਪਾਈ ।
            ਨਾ ਕੋ ਬੈਰੀ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ,
            ਸਗਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਮ ਕਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥

ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ , ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਥਿੜਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ , ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਆਸ ਟੁੰਬਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ , ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਗੱਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚਦੀ ਹੈ , ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਣ ਹਨੇਰਾ-ਹਨੇਰਾ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ , ਉਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ , ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਸ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਗ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਮਹਾਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।

ਜਨਮ ਅਤੇ ਬਚਪਨ : ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਵਿਦਵਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ , ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ 1563 ਈ . ਵਿੱਚ ਗੋਇੰਦਵਾਲ ਵਿਖੇ ਜਨਮ ਲਿਆ । ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਨਿੰਨ ਭਗਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਾਵ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਆਚਰਨ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਭਾਨੀ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ । ਬੀਬੀ ਭਾਨੀ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਖੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜਨਮ ਲਿਆ । ਆਪ ਦਾ ਬਚਪਨ ਗੋਇੰਦਵਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਬਤੀਤ ਹੋਇਆ । ਚੁਫੇਰੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਠੀਕ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਦ ਦੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਬਣੀ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਸਦਕਾ 'ਦੋਹਿਤਾ ਬਾਣੀ ਕਾ ਬੋਹਿਥਾ ' ਹੋ ਨਿਬੜਿਆ ।

ਸਿੱਖਿਆ : ਆਪ ਨੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਜੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ ਦਾ ਅੱਖਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ । ਇਸ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਆਪ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕੀਤਾ । ਹਿੰਦੀ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਪਾਂਧਾ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਜੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੰਡਤ ਬੇਨੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਿੱਖੀ । ਮਹਾਨ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਵੀ ਆਪ  ਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕੀਤਾ । ਉਹ ਵੀ ਆਪ ਲਈ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਗਰ ਬਣੇ | ਆਪ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ 1589 ਈ. ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਚੰਦ ਦੀ ਸਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਗੰਗਾ ਦੇਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ - ਇੱਕ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ।

ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ : ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਿਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਥਾਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਸੀ । ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਅਪਣੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਦੇ ਲੜਕੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ । ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਉੱਨੀ ਦੇਰ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਹੀ ਰਹਿਣਾ । ਗੁਰੂ ਪਿਤਾ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਾ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਪ ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਸਹਿਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ । ਆਪ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ :
        'ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਲੋਚੈ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨ ਤਾਈ ।
        ਬਿਲਪ ਕਰੇ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਕੀ ਨਿਆਈ ।'
ਇਸ ਅਥਾਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ - ਬੂਝ ਸਦਕਾ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ । ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਆਪ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਨ । ਆਪ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਭਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਚੰਦ ਆਪ ਨਾਲ ਈਰਖਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਸੰਗਤ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੀ । ਚੁਫੇਰੇ ਦਾ ਤਣਾਓ ਵੀ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਸਹਿਨਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਟਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਪਰ ਆਪ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਸਥਿਰ ਰਹੇ ।

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਪਾਦਨਾ : ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਉੱਚ - ਕੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਸਨ । ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਮੱਧ ਯੁਗ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ ਸਾਧਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦੀ ਸੰਪਾਦਨਾ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਵਤਾ , ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਨਿਪੁੰਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੂਝ ਦੀ ਹੈ । ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਨਵੇਕਲੀ ਸੰਪਾਦਨਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ - ਨਾਲ ਭਗਤਾਂ , ਸੰਤਾਂ , ਭੱਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਕਟਵਰਤੀ 37 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰ ਪਦਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ । ਵੱਖ - ਵੱਖ ਛੰਦਾਂ , ਰਾਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਵਿ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਸ ਉੱਚ - ਕੋਟੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣਿਕ ਰਚਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ . ਪੂਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਨ , “ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਰਚਨਾ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ , ਇਹ ਵੇਦ , ਗੀਤਾ , ਅੰਜੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਕੀਤਾ ।" ਆਪ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲਿਖਵਾਈ ।
   ਇਸ ਮਹਾਨ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਬਾਣੀ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਮੌਲਿਕ ਹੈ । ਆਪ ਦੇ ਢਾਈ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਲੋਕ ਕੋਈ 30 ਰਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ । ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ 1430 ਪੰਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 650 ਪੰਨਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੈ । ਆਪ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਆਕਾਰ ਪੱਖੋਂ ਹੀ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁ - ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵੀ ਹੈ ।

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ : ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਆਪ ਨੇ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਕਰਵਾਈ । ਆਪ ਨੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ , ਕਰਤਾਰਪੁਰ , ਛੇਹਰਟਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਗਰ ਵੀ ਉਸਾਰੇ । ਹਰ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ ।

ਆਤਮ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ : ਆਪ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਦਾ - ਫੁਲਦਾ ਵੇਖ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਚੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦੂ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਜਹਾਂਗੀਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਨ ਭਰਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ । ਚੰਦੂ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਦਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ । ਵੱਡਾ ਭਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਚੰਦ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਖਾਰ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ । ਇਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਜਹਾਂਗੀਰ ਦਾ ਬਾਗੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਖੁਸਰੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੋਲ ਅਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਲੈਣ ਆ ਗਿਆ । ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ । ਜਹਾਂਗੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੜਕਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ । ਜਹਾਂਗੀਰ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ । ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਹਿ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ | ਪਰ ਆਪ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ' ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਗੇ . . . ' ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ । ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ 1606 ਈ . ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ । ਆਪ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਉਂਣ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਗ ਦੱਸਿਆ।

ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾ : ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ - ਗੁਰਮਤਿ । ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ - ਜਾਚ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ , ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨਿਰਾਕਾਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਵ - ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਸਿੱਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ; ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜਣਾ ਕਾਇਰਤਾ ਹੈ , ਬੁਜ਼ਦਿਲੀ ਹੈ , ਹਾਰ ਹੈ । ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਹਿੰਸਾ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਬੁਰੇ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ; ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ - ਮੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ; ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲ ਮਾਰਗ 'ਤੇ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
